BEFORE THE PROMPT · v6 · ACAMIS ECE 2026 · Mister Pyles
Corrected companion package · 22 October 2026

OPEN / HOST
Keep the folder together. Serve it with a local web server or upload its contents to a static web-host folder; start at index.html. All art, fonts, video and PDF libraries are included locally. External evidence links need internet access. Opening file:// directly may affect cross-page saving and downloads, so a web-hosted or local-server preview is recommended.

QR DESTINATION
Home page and slides 1, 5 and 28 point to https://www.misterpyles.com/ at Tim's request. The workshop is integrated at /before-the-prompt/ with a homepage link. QR codes intentionally retain the main website address.

WHAT CHANGED
- Revised model phrase: “We don’t want to lose Dilon’s technology.” Follow with “Let’s put it back so everyone can find it.” Clearly marked as revised adult wording, not a historical quotation.
- Audit reset clears both saved and in-memory ratings; suggested steps update when ratings change. Custom steps are kept. The plan offers an explicit action to copy the latest audit step.
- Rubric rates adult provision; N/A / insufficient evidence is excluded from numerical suggestions. No family attendance or independent child performance requirement.
- Long answers and additional playhouse ideas continue in PDF appendices. Plan and audit also offer complete UTF-8 text downloads.
- Unsupported PDF-font characters, including Chinese, use a flowing browser print layout. Choose Save as PDF in the print dialog. This route uses device fonts, rather than the illustrated fixed template.
- Precise browser-storage language, storage-failure warning, dedicated character clearing, and a confirmed Clear all my workshop data action on every page.
- Keyboard-accessible sticker movement/removal. Hunt counts are suggested sticker tags, not verified device capabilities; freehand drawings are not counted.
- Parent guidance, inclusive participation, overlapping categories and English/Chinese scope aligned. Child observations belong in the approved school system, not workshop notes.
- QR placeholders replaced; missing documentation images replaced with labelled existing illustrations.
- Attachment claims qualified; linked Rosaen & Dibble and consistent Calvert citation.
- Earlier DCB PDF retained with an added context page. Current lesson features Responsible Ryan; historical examples refer to Respectful Rui.
- Minimum workshop outcome: one idea, one priority, one next step. Complete detailed drafting after the session if needed.

PRIVACY
Workshop work is stored on this device in this browser. The application does not submit the work to us. A hosted website receives normal page requests; linked services have their own practices. Keep child names, initials, codes, photos and identifying observations out of the notes and forms. Clear all workshop data before leaving a shared device. Downloads remain separate files and are not removed by this control.

BEFORE THE CONFERENCE
- Homepage and Resources link to the current workshop at /before-the-prompt/.
- Test the chosen host, projected QR and download/print routes on the actual phone/iPad and venue Wi-Fi.
- The video has a clearly labelled written activity alternative; a verified timed caption track is still outstanding. Do not present the activity alternative as a verbatim transcript.
- Have a bilingual early-years colleague check wording for the local community and your safeguarding lead check local arrangements.
- PowerPoint’s embedded video playback still needs a check on the presenting device.

EDIT / REBUILD
Content: src/pages/*.html. Data/rubric: src/data.py. Shared layout: src/build.py.
Styles: assets/css/site.css and sheet.css. Behaviour: assets/js/site.js.
Templates: src/sheets.py. Rebuild pages with Python 3.12+: python3 src/build.py
PDF template rendering: node src/templates/render.js http://localhost:PORT /path/to/ttf-fonts
The renderer requires Playwright and Nunito/Fredoka TTF files; optionally set CHROMIUM_EXECUTABLE_PATH to an installed Chrome executable.
Kit: python3 src/kit/build_kit.py then node src/kit/make_kit.js http://localhost:PORT
If changing template layout, regenerate PDF assets and blank templates so filled fields still align.
