Where can we go?

Build a strand for your children through the six stops on the Dilon Lesson 1 adventure map: hello, hunt, watch, talk, home and heart. (The lesson’s eight steps sit along those six stops.) Your playhouse ideas, your character and your first step come with you. Longer answers and extra ideas continue onto additional pages so your complete work is preserved.

A character, puppet or picture book. Teacher-voiced and openly pretend.
Objects, places or people they can find, point to or carry.
A two-minute clip, a photo on the board, or no screen at all.
One question you’ll ask, then wait. Add the photo talk-back moment.
A station, a routine, a job, a photo wall.
One thing that goes home, in home languages, and what children promise.
One or two things you’ll look and listen for, before and after. See the signs for each year group.
